º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ offers a tuition remission benefit that allows eligible faculty and staff, as well as qualified spouses and dependent children, to enroll in courses at Rider at a reduced or fully waived tuition rate in accordance with University policy and collective bargaining agreements. The benefit is designed to support continuing education and professional development for our employees and their families.
The Internal Tuition Remission benefit covers tuition only; fees, books, and supplies are not included. A few programs (e.g., English Language Institute) are excluded. All recipients must meet standard admissions and academic progress requirements.
Undergraduate remission is tax-free. Graduate remission is tax-free up to $5,250/year (IRC Section 127); taxable amounts over $5,250/year are applied to the employee's paycheck during the semester of remission.

How to Apply
- Submit a Tuition Remission Request via MyRider > My Employee Info Card > .
- Undergraduates taking 6+ credits must file a (studentaid.gov, Rider’s school code is 002628); graduate students only if seeking a federal loan.
- 2027 is the fiscal and academic year we are now in, which includes Fall 2026, J Term 2027, Spring 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Once approved by HR, the request is forwarded to Financial Aid for processing.
If you, or a qualifying spouse or dependent, plan to register for courses at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ using tuition remission benefits, you must submit a Tuition Remission Request online. To increase efficiency and accuracy with the approval process, all applications must be submitted through the online system; paper applications are no longer being processed. The online application must be completed in order for the Tuition remission benefit to be awarded.

- April 1 for Summer 1
- May 1 for Summer 2
- July 1 for Fall (our deadline has been extended to August 7. If you’ve missed this deadline, please contact benefits@rider.edu)
- October 1 for J Term
- October 1 for Spring
