For a limited number of employee groups, Rider extends a reduced Tuition Remission benefit toward undergraduate study by a dependent child enrolled at another accredited institution. External Tuition Remission applies to study at another institution only: it applies only where noted below, and only covers undergraduate study. It is capped as a percentage of Rider's own tuition, it’s not based on the outside school's tuition.
Note: Effective December 5, 2025, this benefit will be suspended except for employees who were already receiving External Tuition Remission benefits as of the effective date of the change. These employees will be grandfathered through the Spring Semester 2026; after the Spring Semester 2026, Rider will pay the actual tuition charged to the student up to a maximum of 20% of the tuition Rider charges its undergraduate students.
For questions regarding internal tuition remission, please reach out to benefits@rider.edu.
