This comprehensive document outlines the qualities, experiences and leadership attributes we seek in our next president, as well as the opportunities and challenges that await this transformative leader.

Storbeck Search, our search firm, will use the presidential search profile as a foundational document to guide the recruitment and selection process for º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½'s next president. Specifically, they will:

• Attract and Engage Candidates: The profile will serve as a marketing tool to attract highly qualified candidates by outlining Rider's vision, values and priorities, as well as the qualities and experience desired in the next president.
• Screen and Assess Candidates: The firm will use the profile as a benchmark to evaluate potential candidates’ backgrounds, qualifications and alignment with Rider’s needs and aspirations.
• Conduct Outreach: Storbeck Search will leverage their extensive network to identify and connect with individuals who match the profile's criteria, ensuring a diverse and competitive pool of candidates.
• Facilitate Stakeholder Alignment: The profile helps ensure alignment among stakeholders, including the search committee, university leadership, and the Rider community, by clearly articulating the goals and expectations for the new president.
• Guide Interviews and Selection: The criteria outlined in the profile will inform interview questions and evaluation metrics during the later stages of the search process.

Since we last communicated with you, we held our first search committee meeting, where members came together to begin this important process. Additionally, the committee participated in an Anti-Bias and Inclusion training session to ensure an equitable and inclusive approach to the search. 

Together with our search committee and Storbeck, we are dedicated to finding a leader who exemplifies Rider’s values and mission while driving the advancement of our strategic objectives for the future.
